In My Rainbow

So, there are tons of things that I would like to get around to but mostly I want to write angry letters. The wrath of my words doesn't seem to go much far enough these days. I realized recently that no one is actually reading this site and it might have something to do with the variety of content. Sure, a few people stop by to see the daily rainbows, but there is no real agenda here and maybe it's time there was (at least for now). So...

Dear Drake Hotel,

Welcome to Parkdale (Home of dandelions and diapers full of blow). How nice of you to take on the task of beautifying this neighbourhood. You understand the concept of a neighbourhood, right? I've heard you mention your need to fit into this space and service the community. Your dedication to our arts scene is a nice gesture, really.

I'm sure you've met the Ruler Of Parkdale, Les King. He's a fabulous artist with savvy business style. He runs these parts selling his simplistic, yet entirely complex drawings for a negotiable price.

I was passing by the Drake a few weeks ago and noticed our King trying to sell his wares in your general area only to have your thuggish security officer skilfully inform his highness that he wasn't welcome in or around the Drake. There must have been some mistake! Our king is a modest man and prides himself on his ability to seamlessly fit into this community, so perhaps the security didn't recognize him, but when faced with the delicate drawings a connection should have been made. King Les was made to feel like a commoner in his own land and I'm afraid the Drake has much explaining to do.

This community you want to fit into isn't like the others in this great city. We expect and deserve more from you! So, farewell Drake Hotel! Farewell in the hearts and minds of this land called Parkdale. Your presence may remain but a shadow is cast over you and our backs are turned.

Give us our dirt back!
